Explanation

Required Final Score mode solves: desired course grade = current grade × non-final weight + final-exam score × final-exam weight.

Final Grade Projection mode uses the same weighted equation with an expected final-exam score. Values entered for the two modes are retained separately when you switch modes.

A required score above 100% is marked not achievable under the entered assumptions. A required score at or below zero means the target is already secured. The calculator assumes the current grade represents all non-final work.
